Do I need an account to apply?
You can look around and search without an account. When you start a form, the Statewide New Jersey Portal asks you to sign in or create an account. Anyone can create an account with any email address.
During the beta, most towns do not take applications through the Statewide New Jersey Portal yet. See what happens after you submit.

Yes. One account works with every town on the Statewide New Jersey Portal. Your drafts, past applications and saved properties stay with your account wherever you file.
There's no password. Enter your email and the Statewide New Jersey Portal sends a six digit code that works for 10 minutes. You may also see buttons to sign in with Google or Apple. Once you're signed in, you can add a passkey from your account settings. To change the email on your account, use your account settings. Your applications stay with your account.
There's no password to reset. Enter your email on the sign-in page and the Statewide New Jersey Portal sends a new six digit code. If the code doesn't arrive, check your spam folder. If you no longer have access to that email, contact support@govpilot.com. GovPilot handles portal accounts, not your town.
Go to your account settings and choose to delete your account. Your drafts and their files are deleted. Applications you already submitted stay with the towns you sent them to, and the deletion screen lists which towns.
Go to My Profile in your account on the Statewide New Jersey Portal and choose Change Email. Type the new address and press Save. To confirm it's you, the Statewide New Jersey Portal sends a code to your current address, or you can use a passkey. Then it sends a link to the new address. The change is not finished until you open that link. Your drafts and the applications you filed on the Statewide New Jersey Portal stay with your account. My Applications then shows the records your town holds under the new address. Records under your old address no longer show there. If you can't get email at your current address, email support@govpilot.com.
For a question about your application, a fee or a rule, contact your town. For help with the portal itself, email support@govpilot.com.
