Can I see all my jobs in different towns in one place?
Yes. One business account works across every town on the Statewide New Jersey Portal, so applications you file through the portal show in one account. Some towns are still being added.

I'm a tenant or just bought the property. Can I apply if I'm not the owner on record?
Anyone can create an account and apply. Whether you can get the permit as a tenant or a new owner is up to your town, which reviews each application. If you recently bought the property, keep your deed handy in case the town asks for it.
Can I apply for my business instead of for myself?
Yes. First set up the business on your account on the Statewide New Jersey Portal: choose Set Up a Business or Household. When you start a form, choose the business as the applicant. You can invite people onto the business account. Members whose role allows it can use its saved properties and documents.
What happens to our business account when the person who set it up leaves?
A business account on the Statewide New Jersey Portal has no single owner. Its Admins manage it, and it always keeps at least one active Admin. Before the person who set it up leaves, they or another Admin make a second member an Admin on Members. An Admin can then turn off the access of the person who left. The business account and its applications stay with the business. If no Admin can sign in, email support@govpilot.com.
